Our Pastoral Staff

Dr. Rick Arrowood, our Senior Pastor, was saved at the age of twenty-four and called to preach nine months later. He was ordained into the Gospel preaching ministry on January 28, 1979, by the Mikado Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. Before the Lord led him and Dolly to Crosspointe in June of 2008, he pastored churches in Alabama for three years; the Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington, West Virginia for six years; and the Troy Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio for twenty-one years.
Pastor Arrowood graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1980 (Th.G) and later completed his M.Min and D.Min from Uniontown Baptist College. In 2000, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Bob Jones University.
The heartbeat of Pastor is evangelism (world-wide), and edifying and loving the saints. He is a gifted expositor of the Scriptures, making practical application appealing and necessary for the believer.
Dr. Arrowood presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship International, and is President of the Board of Advisors of the Slavic Baptist Institute and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Baptist World Mission. He and Dolly have had the privilege of visiting several foreign countries, and preaching on the mission field and in many Christian colleges.
Pastor and Dolly have two children, Beth Anne and Daniel Bert, who are graduates of Ambassador Baptist College and are presently serving the Lord in Christian ministries. Beth Anne has been on staff at Baptist World Mission in Decatur, Alabama, since 1997, and on April 12, 2008, was married to Darren McFadden. Bert and his wife, Christina, live in Easley, South Carolina, where Bert serves as Youth Pastor at Faith Baptist Church, and Christina is a stay-at-home mom with their twin girls, Hannah Jean and Lydia Rose, born April 12, 2008.

Pastor Dan Fitzgerald, our youth pastor, was raised in a pastor’s home in central Illinois. He was saved at the age of seventeen at a Christian camp. Following High School, he attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minnesota, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Bible, pastoral studies, and youth ministries.
Pastor Dan and his wife, Tami, were married on May 31, 1986. After graduating from college in 1988, Pastor Dan and Tami began their first ministry as teacher, athletic director and youth pastor at Faithway Baptist Church and Christian School in Ypsilanti, Michigan. After seven years of rewarding ministry, Pastor Dan accepted the call to become youth pastor at Eagledale/Crosspointe in August of 1995.
Pastor Dan continues serving as youth pastor, as well as overseeing the Reformers Unanimous addictions program and the children’s church ministry. Pastor Dan loves all of his ministries and desires to see those he ministers to walk in truth. Pastor Dan and Tami’s goal continues to be seeing young people give their lives to God and serve Him in some capacity in their lives.
Pastor Dan and Tami have two girls: Nichole, a 2008 graduate of Pensacola Christian College, who now works in the office at Crosspointe, and Kristen, who is currently a student at Pensacola Christian College earning a degree in Church music. Tami has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom where she is a medical transcriptionist, as well as being a great help to Pastor Dan in the ministry.

Pastor Brent Floyd serves as Administrator of Crossepointe Christian Academy. His parents, Joe and Ruth moved to Indianapolis in 1983 and joined Eagledale/Crosspointe Baptist Church. He had the unique privilege of growing up in a godly home and was saved during family devotions at the age of seven. Also, it was an added blessing to sit under the ministry of Pastor Dafoe and graduate from our Christian school. We are thankful for the second generation of young people who, like Pastor Floyd, have grown up here in our ministry, received good college training, and are led by the Lord to return and serve on our staff and/or faculty.
Early in his life Pastor Brent sensed God’s call to the ministry and surrendered to God’s will before he graduated from our high school. It was during his freshman year at Bob Jones University that God confirmed his call to preach and be a servant leader.
In 2000, Pastor Floyd served as a short-term Bible college teacher in Kenya, East Africa for six months and then returned to Indianapolis and married one of our school teachers, Kelli Barger. Soon after they were married, he and Kelli were led to Bible Baptist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana where he served as assistant pastor and school teacher for two years at Terre Haute Christian School. In 2002, the Lord led he and his family back to Eagledale/Crosspointe where he has served as assistant pastor, assistant principal and is now the Administrator of Crosspointe Christian Academy.
Pastor Floyd graduated from Bob Jones University in 1997 with a BA in Bible and in 1999 with a Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies. He and his wife, Kelli, have been married for eight years and have four children Emalie, Chandler, Aric, and Jesiah. They are servant leaders with a burden for the family and for Christian education. He teaches our Home Builder’s Class and they love ministering to our couples.

Dr. Warren Dafoe, our Pastor Emeritus, retired for health reasons in January 2008. Pastor Dafoe was born in Croswell, Michigan, on January 25, 1942, and grew up in a pastor’s home. He was led to the Lord and baptized by his father, Dr. Warren E. Dafoe. He was called to preach as a teenager at a summer youth camp near Warsaw, IN, and preached his first sermon at seventeen.
Pastor Dafoe graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in May of 1964 (BA in Bible), and on June 6, 1964, married Jann E. Brown. He was ordained into the Gospel Preaching Ministry by the Eagledale Baptist Church, September 19, 1965. While serving as pastor of Stacy Baptist Church in Stacy, MI, Pastor Dafoe did graduate work at Central Baptist Seminary in Minneapolis, MN, and later at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, WI. He later became the Youth Pastor at Eagledale Baptist Church and served under his father for over six and a half years.
In November of 1971, he became pastor of First Baptist Church in Marysville, MI, a church that was started by his father while pastoring in Goodells, MI. In January of 1975, Pastor Dafoe and Jann were called to the Windsor Baptist Church in Loves Park, IL, and served there until he joined the pastoral staff at Eagledale Baptist in July of 1982. It was here that he became his father’s associate for the purpose of becoming Senior Pastor upon his father’s retirement, January 6, 1985.
Pastor and Mrs. Dafoe have two children, Joel and Joy, and five grandchildren who serve faithfully in their local churches.
